Although it was written based on the blind bluesman Blind Willie McTell, recording was difficult, and although it was started at the beginning of the session for the album, it was removed from the recorded songs, and the rare track collection "The Bootleg Series Volumes 1–" released in 1991. 3 (Rare & Unreleased) 1961–1991 ”is a phantom masterpiece that never saw the sun until it was recorded.The two takes recorded in this work were also recorded in 1983 with Mark Knopfler, Mick Taylor, Sly Dunbar, Robbie Shakespeare, etc. So, the A side containing the precious take 1 is limited to this 7 inch, and the B side is a full band version, making it the first physical sound source ahead of the 16th bootleg series scheduled to be released this fall!
