BETTY EVERETT『My Life Depends On You c/w My Love』7inch
★First press limited edition
Mississippi-born singer Betty Everett had a hit with "The Shoop Shoop Song (It's In His Kiss)" on Vee-Jay in 1964. This 7-inch reissue features her debut single, released by Cobra shortly after she arrived in Chicago in 1957. This is an exceptionally rare release in the collectible Cobra catalog, and Willie Dixon's "My Love" is a huge hit on the popcorn scene. It's a cool, minor-key, medium-tempo R&B track, with a melancholic melody and the fresh, expansive vocals of Everett, who was only 17 at the time. The cute, lovey-dovey ballad "My Life Depends On You" is also superb.
