The band's first album, "The True Story of Bananagun," was highly praised by the UK's long-established music media "NME" and many other reviews for its international sound, which exquisitely blends Fela Kuti-esque Afrobeat, Mutantes-esque tropicalism, and the psychedelic style of The Beatles' "Sgt. Pepper's." It has been four years since the band's first album, "The True Story of Bananagun," was released, which was a hot topic in Japan, with power plays on FM radio stations and recommendations in music magazines. The long-awaited second album by the five-member band "Bananagun," based in Melbourne, Australia, is finally complete! Led by frontman Nick Van Bakel, who also writes songs and vocals, the album is a condensed version of their previous album, mixing vintage rock with Afro, Mondo, funk, and even spiritual jazz essences, creating a psychedelic feeling that is full of utopia!
