BANANAGUN “Why is the Color of the Sky?” CD

The awesome guys are back! "BANANAGUN" from Melbourne, Australia, who have taken the world by storm with their tropical sound that is a mix of psychedelic, mondo, afro and funk, have decided to release their long-awaited latest album, their first in four years!

The band's first album, "The True Story of Bananagun," was highly praised by the UK's long-established music media "NME" and many other reviews for its international sound, which exquisitely blends Fela Kuti-esque Afrobeat, Mutantes-esque tropicalism, and the psychedelic style of The Beatles' "Sgt. Pepper's." It has been four years since the band's first album, "The True Story of Bananagun," was released, which was a hot topic in Japan, with power plays on FM radio stations and recommendations in music magazines. The long-awaited second album by the five-member band "Bananagun," based in Melbourne, Australia, is finally complete! Led by frontman Nick Van Bakel, who also writes songs and vocals, the album is a condensed version of their previous album, mixing vintage rock with Afro, Mondo, funk, and even spiritual jazz essences, creating a psychedelic feeling that is full of utopia! In 2020, when the previous album was released, they were unable to hold a large-scale tour due to the COVID-19 pandemic, but after the release of this album, they are planning a European tour with the cooperation of UK/Full Time Hobby, who will be releasing the EU version of this album, as well as their home country of Australia! This shocking and controversial work is finally complete, with a groove that transcends time and space from the 1960s to the 2020s, and is sure to take the world by storm!
