Midnight surf and ride! The long-awaited new album from THE GURL, a rock and roll slowrider duo based on the beaches and roadsides of Kanagawa!

Formed in 2013 by Shintaro Haruyama (Vocals/Guitar) and Manami Arai (Guitar/Choir), the band released their first album, "SLOWDOWN," in 2016 and performed at ROOKIE A GO-GO at FUJI ROCK FESTIVAL the following year. Despite being active, they went on hiatus in 2020, but have garnered a strong following for their roots-based groovy rock sound and surf-side feel. Now, in 2025, they're finally reuniting!

The lead single, "Ceremony," a familiar live performance, has been updated into a superb surfside tune, depicting a colorful landscape like a "ceremony" with its expansive vocals, catchy melody, and refreshing groove created by light, cutting guitar. Its title, true to its title, depicts a colorful landscape like a "ceremony." Additionally, the album features songs like "My Girl," a bittersweet lovers' song for a generation that has experienced both the good and the bad, and "Daylight," a life-sized slow ballad that reflects on the ins and outs of life. The arrangements for the new songs are supported by guest musicians of the same generation who have been with the band since before they became a two-person lineup, including Yuhei Yamazaki (bassist, Half Mile Beach Club) and Gaku Ouchi (drummer, Hedigan's, etc.). Mixing was handled by Takuya Tsuboi, and mastering was handled by Soichiro Nakamura, bringing a richness to the band's sound with an exquisite feel.
