Analogfish "SNS" CD
This long-awaited new album, their first in three years and their 11th, is a groundbreaking work that is in sync with the current scene!
While based on a solid and simple band sound, the album is full of fresh songs that expand the range of expression, such as the colorful, electropop-like sound of "Moonlight" that mainly uses synthesizer sequences, and the danceable funk number "Saturday Night Sky" that highlights Kentaro Sasaki's emotional singing. In addition, the melody and lyric sense of Akira Shimooka, another songwriter with a sharp edge, is still alive and well in this album. The songs are catchy and in line with pop manners, with insightful lyrics such as "Sawaranai de Ii" that shines in live performances, and the album has a wide range of songs. The straightforward message resonates in the heart, with minimal performance and sound production that makes use of space, and the sound approach that is free of waste is pop and modern to listen to. The secret ingredient is the diverse guitar playing of support member Ryo Hamamoto, who makes a strong presence by injecting alternative rock into the solos and backing. The band's simple and minimalist ensemble, stripped of all excess fat and under the direction of producer Jin Yoshida, who has built a long-standing relationship of trust, is still going strong. This is the birth of a masterpiece based on a new approach that shows musical flexibility and foresight!
