LARRY DAVIS "For 5 Long Years" 7inch
★First limited production
Blues/R&B 7-inch singles (45s) have skyrocketed in price as they have been categorized into genres/music styles such as New Breed and Popcorn. A new 45 series has been launched to reissue these originals!
The original will bring you a whole host of expensive items that are out of reach!
This is a reissue of a 7-inch single released by Larry Davis, a blues singer/guitarist whom BB King was a big fan of, on Kent Records in 1969! Fripp's "I've Been Hurt So Many Times," popular in the UK as Northern Soul, is a danceable number in the style of Willie Cobbs' blues classic "You Don't Love Me." The mid-funk blues "For 5 Long Years" on side A, written by Sherwood Fleming, is also great.
