GUNJOGACRAYON "GUNJOGACRAYON" CD

GUNJOGACRAYON's music seems to be very free from the systematic "flow" of so-called "music." It's neither rock nor jazz. Moreover, the way the flow of the sound is interrupted is sharp, and you can see a newness that was not seen in previous groups. In particular, the uniqueness of guitarist Kumihara's playing; he could be called a real-time dub guitarist that the Jamaican reggae scene could not have produced. Of course, even though it is dub, it is an original Gunjo style that is different from reggae.

GUNJOGACRAYON is a unit led by guitarist Tadashi Kumihara, who also created his own unique sound world on Ryuichi Sakamoto's "B-2 Unit," which was recently reissued and has been much talked about. This CD version of their 12-inch mini-album released in 1980 (one of which was dub mixed by Ryuichi Sakamoto) has been supplemented with a large number of must-listen unreleased tracks!
