edbl is a UK-based producer, beatmaker, and multi-instrumentalist active in South London. It has been announced that his masterpiece "South London Sounds"—originally released via P-VINE in 2021, which established his name across Japan, Asia, and the rest of the world—will be reissued in a special edition to commemorate its 5th anniversary. With deep ties to Japan, including collaborations with artists like Iri and Kantaro Ihara, as well as regular performances at Blue Note Tokyo, this edition includes newly recorded collaborative tracks with Japanese artists he has worked with in the past. "Nostalgia Feat. XinU & Kazuki Isogai" features singer XinU, whose transparent yet smoky voice has been garnering attention, and guitarist Kazuki Isogai, fresh off their collaboration on "The edbl x Kazuki Isogai Sessions." Additionally, "magpies Feat. Toshiki Soejima & Nahokimama" features the neo-soul duo Toshiki Soejima and Nahokimama, who have previously collaborated on tracks like "At The Fairground." Furthermore, the LP is a complete 2LP set containing every track released on CD and digital platforms. This is an essential record that stands as a definitive masterpiece of contemporary soul!
