The Jansen, an Indonesian national indie-punk band that previously released the debut EP "From Bogor to Japan" in 2016, is set to release their 5th album "Romantisasi Impulsif" in Japan via P-VINE this summer, ten years after their debut!

Although they are called indie punk, The Jansen mixes various styles spanning from the UK to the US, including post-punk, power pop, indie pop, garage, and lo-fi. They play familiar punk music with a pop sensibility unique to them and catchy melodies sung in Indonesian.

Their pop sensibility is even more refined in this work, with songs like "bagaimana kabarmu, sayang?" showing strong influences from 2010s US indie artists.

Furthermore, while retaining their punkish roots, this album includes many danceable indie songs centered on a four-on-the-floor beat.
