Tadekui is a three-piece band formed by childhood friends from Akanko Onsen, Kushiro City, Hokkaido. Their 1st album "MOTHER," released in February and already generating buzz, is finally being released on analog. Produced by Shuhei Kato (NOT WONK, SADFRANK), this album expresses unique rock with Tadekui's distinctive sound, referencing various music styles such as blues, jazz, bossa nova, and psychedelia. On top of the solid groove provided by the youthful yet precociously skilled Daichi Hirono (Ba) and OMI (Dr), Kanto Shimokura's (Vo / Gt) introspective yet at times passionately emotional singing portrays a cold yet expansive landscape reminiscent of their hometown, carrying a sense of unmanageable frustration and loneliness.
Starting with "Fune," which depicts a departure with the strength of never giving up hope despite a difficult journey, followed by "Toudai," which expands from a bossa nova-like sound into a kaleidoscopic psychedelic soundscape, "Yume wo Minagara," where a singing, fluid bass solo is very impressive, "Sanagi," where noisy guitars explode behind a serene song, "Sensui," a unique instrumental piece that shows influences of drum and bass, "Yuujin," which seems to sing about the loneliness of seeking invisible love yet somehow not understanding each other, "Glare," with its catchy rhythm and pop melody, "Yasashisa," the most straightforward rock song on the album, and finally "Umi ni Kite," which seems to arrive at a calm place after a voyage – all songs are masterpieces with their own unique character. This is a shocking masterpiece that will undoubtedly represent the indie scene in 2026.
