Ancient Infinity Orchestra 『It's Always About Liberation』 LP

★Imported Disc

The latest album from the Ancient Infinity Orchestra, a large-scale jazz ensemble from Leeds, UK, which elevates the lineage of Pharoah Sanders and Alice Coltrane into a richer, more vibrant spiritual jazz!

Inspired by poet Moor Mother's message "It's always about love / It's always about liberation," their previous work ("It's always about love") sought peaceful and celebratory spiritual liberation, while this album explores freedom and paths to the future in a divided world. Their sound and spirituality are truly contemporary spiritual jazz!

A gem of an ensemble unique to a large-scale formation, featuring a diverse range of instruments: traditional instruments from around the world such as the Zimbabwean mbira (thumb piano), the kaval (a woodwind instrument widespread from Central Asia), and the West African string instrument Donso Ngoni, alongside bass, harp, saxophone, clarinet, violin, viola, cello, oboe, flute, mandolin, conga, piano, drums, and percussion!
