- A 1981 work released by Wendel Harrison, the founder of the legendary jazz label "Tribe" and a saxophone player who has left behind many great performances since the 1970s, on Tribe's successor label, Wenha!
This superb album, which has been highly praised for its modern soul/boogie sound that makes use of synthesizers such as Moogs and has even more of an 80s feel than the previous album "Dreams Of A Love Supreme," has been newly remastered and will be reissued!
The previous year's album "Dreams Of A Love Supreme", released as the first work from "WENHA", the successor label to "TRIBE", was a turning point that retained the spiritual and blackness-filled philosophy of "TRIBE" in the 70s while also incorporating the smooth feeling of the early 80s. This follow-up album is full of 80's flavor with a more mellow and smooth feeling! You might think that it will continue with a moist atmosphere with the mellow fusion "Ginseng Love" (M1) with deep chorus and comfortable synth sounds and the smooth instrumental ballad "Winter" (M2), but the title already suggests that it will be a mysterious disco-boogie number "Love Juice" (M3) that will update it to a floor-ready version! This superb edition also includes the classic "The Wok" (M5), which is a mellow oriental sound and is arguably one of Wendell Harrison's signature songs from the 1980s. It has been newly remastered and will be reissued!
