Millennial neo-psychedelia from Zushi, Kanagawa Prefecture. The creative collective Half Mile Beach Club, which also hosts parties that combine live music and film, has released their first full-length album, "Be Built, Then Lost"!

◆In 2017, he participated in the compilation CD "Rhyming Slang Covers," which was a smash hit and drew attention in the indie scene, and organized the event "Half Mile Beach Club," which brought together a number of distinguished artists. As he gained more and more attention from the scene, he released his first EP "Hasta La Vista" in 2018. He surprised many discerning listeners with his fresh talent and sense, which naturally crossed over a wide range of music genres, not only UK rock and Madchester, but also alternative R&B and dubstep.

◆This latest album, "Be Built, Then Lost," is based on multi-layered rhythms by the three members: Tsuzuki's minimal, shaky, and tribal drums, Takahashi's bass that creates a simple yet organic and thick groove, and Asakura, a synth sampler who organizes the club event "CLAT." This is layered with Miyano's guitarist's comfortably pounded riffs and feedback with a distorted humbucker sound that sounds fresh these days, and Yamazaki's effective vocals, which are part of the band ensemble, to create a unique sound image that combines the open, uplifting Balearic feeling that is characteristic of HMBC with cutting-edge style.

◆This album was produced with guest musicians Ryudai Kawatani (LED / Freaky Machine), guest vocalist ico! (FarFarm), mixing by Kimitoshi Sato (Mother Tereco), and mastering by Soichiro Nakamura (PEACE MUSIC). Half Mile Beach Club is a departure from the overheated city pop of today, shaking and stimulating the boundaries between indie rock and club culture.
