This is the pinnacle of jazz and progressive rock! Amgala Temple, an instrumental jazz rock project led by Lars Horntveth, a core member of the Norwegian cutting-edge musical group "JAGA JAZZIST", has finally launched!

With a diverse musicality ranging from jazz and progressive rock to post-rock and club music, "JAGA JAZZIST" has a solid sound that seems as if it has been stripped down to the bare minimum, and is a continuation of the jazz rock spirit that has been passed down even after half a century!

SOFT MACHINE, a living legend of jazz rock, came to Japan in July 2018 with the tagline "final tour" and released their latest album "HIDDEN DETAILS". To inherit their spirit, Amgala Temple, a project by Amund Maarud, Gard Nilssen and others who support the Norwegian music scene with their virtuosity, just like "JAGA JAZZIST" Lars Horntveth, has been launched. The sensual session, where the bass and drums that unfold in a minimalist style but also insert aggressive breaks here and there, the floating guitar with fuzz and the spacey synths intertwine, is a sound that truly transcends time and space! Two of the five songs are over 10 minutes long, making it a rich listen, and the psychedelic jacket is also excellent!
