Lavis & Company (EJ Garrison) "Two Sisters from Baghdad" CD
With so few original copies still in existence, this is the last hurdle for the Rare Groove Diggers to reach! This extremely rare album, which includes the ultimate gospel heavy funk "Thoughs Were The Days," a powerful rap-style poetry with a roaring soulful cry and a pitch-black groove that foreshadows the emergence of hip hop, has finally been reissued!
This is the last track on the masterpiece compilation album "Good God! A Gospel Funk Hymnal" supervised by the prestigious American Numero Group, which attracted attention as a work that unravels the last uncharted territory of "Gospel Funk" for the Rare Groove Explorers. It includes the super killer tune "Thoughs Were The Days", which has a dark poetry-rap with a hip-hop feel like Calvin Floyd's, and its astounding, powerful sound that has made funk freaks all over the world go wild. This work "Two Sisters From Bagdad" is not distributed in general, but is a handmade work that was only available to the public during a two-week performance at the Detroit church "Bethel AME church". It was only sold in limited places, had a short sales period, and most of the stock was damaged by flooding and was thrown away at the time, so it is a rumored piece that has rarely been put up for auction, and when it was put up for sale, it was a terrifying item with a winning bid of about 300,000 yen. Until now, very few people have ever listened to this album in its entirety; the full story of this ultimate rare album, shrouded in mystery, is finally revealed!
