Brief Encounter, a nine-member soul/funk group centered around the four Bailey brothers from North Carolina, re-releases their 1976 Capitol single, one of their most popular releases between 1973 and 1977. This reissue includes a replica of the picture sleeve that accompanied the French release. The A-side, "What About Love," is simply superb. With its catchy horn riff and exhilarating chorus melody, it's an outstanding sweet and funky dancefloor soul track from the disco era. The B-side, "Get Right Down (And Do It)," is also flawless, a nasty mid-funk track reminiscent of the Fatback Band. This is a super powerful, must-have double-sider.
