Recorded at the height of BB's career in 1961 and 1962, and released by Kent in 1967, this is a definitive masterpiece that is widely regarded as the greatest of BB's many albums!
This album was compiled and released after he had already moved to ABC, but it produced six R&B chart hits. All the songs, including the powerful title track, are excellent, and the album is full of the dignity of a champion. The richness of slow songs such as "5 Long Years" is unique to BB of this era. You can't talk about BB without listening to this album!
