THA MASTA BLUSTA, the debut album released in 1997 by ILLMARIACHI, a legendary unit formed by Hazu and TOKONA-X, is a monumental work in Japanese rap. In 2017, marking the 20th anniversary of its release, under the supervision of Hazu, two tracks, "NAGOYA QUEENS" and "Younggunz," were replaced with unreleased, treasured original lyric versions that were included at the time, and all tracks were newly mixed and mastered for an updated, much-anticipated 20th Anniversary Edition, now available on vinyl.
With the release of TOKONA-X's documentary "KING OF BULLSH*T -THE SAGA OF TOKONA-X-," attention has once again been drawn to ILLMARIACHI and "THA MASTA BLUSTA," which could be said to be the origins of TOKONA-X's career, making this a truly long-awaited release!
