BODIKHUU “BODIANOVA ~Saudade do Rio” CD

A new movement that has ignited in the subscription music industry, "Lo-fi Hip Hop," reminiscent of the former prosperity of jazzy hip hop. Now, a strong love letter to Brazil has arrived from a Soviet-era residential area on the outskirts of Ulaanbaatar! "Joao Gilberto listening on a crowded bus" = Bodikhuu's work is available on CD for the first time in the world!

In addition to the mellow and elegant breakbeat feel reminiscent of DJ Shadow and Mocha Only, this is a superb saudade beat filled with melancholy, themed around a Brazilian theme!

◆Track maker Bodikuu, who works as a crane operator in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, spins out a wabi-sabi sound on his worn-out MPC, where his longing for bossa nova and tropicalia Latin beats meets street noise!

◆The Iranian label Farsi Records has compiled the digital EPs "Rio" and "Bodianova," and released the album as an LP in March 2019 in a limited run of 500 copies. The album will now be released on CD!

◆The jacket was designed by illustrator David Burnett, who has also worked on artwork and merchandise illustrations for artists such as Currency and Erykah Badu.
