V.A."Tiny Pop - Here's That Tiny Days" CD
★Supervision and commentary by Hikaru Yamada
"DIY pop songs" by the internet generation! The first compilation CD to introduce the new music scene "tiny pop" that is fitting for the start of the 20's!
"Tiny pop is a DIY pop music system (lyrics, composition, and arrangement) created by the Internet generation" (Hikaru Yamada).
All songs are newly recorded! (Only unreleased songs included)
Since the 2010s, with the spread of internet culture and its tools and formats, a large number of artists have emerged who are not bound by the historical systems and contexts of music; this freedom has accelerated especially in the independent pop scene, and "tiny pop" is a new trend that is seen as a new sound that is lo-fi, private, and personal, something that did not exist before the 2000s, but which reminds listeners of the heyday of popular music.
This work is supervised by Hikaru Yamada, a talented figure in the Tokyo indie scene who has a unique presence in the scene that has gradually expanded with the arrival of a new scene, such as being introduced by multiple media and holding a festival called "tiny pop fes", and who has been involved as an artist himself and whose liner notes explain the new music scene heading into the 20s! This compilation allows you to experience the real-time music scene that has taken the next step from the city pop revival, which was limited to reproducing arrangements and tones!
