Junk Fujiyama, the flag bearer of city pop, has completed their new album "SHINE", which is full of summer mode!

Leading the current city pop scene, this is their first full-energy new album in a year and a half. In addition to familiar songs such as the previously released "Ai no Kiseki -Trajectory of Love-" and the convenience store CM song "GOLDEN TIME," the album is packed with great songs such as the pop groove "Sunrise" that is reminiscent of the smash hit "Ano Sora no Mukou gawa e." Also included as a bonus is a live version of Yamashita Tatsuro's cover "LOVE SPACE" featuring the late legendary drummer Murakami "Ponta" Shuichi. The release of the original studio album "SHINE" has been decided, following "Happiness" released in July 2021. It is a city pop album currently in progress, full of refreshing melodies and sounds, in full summer mode. As with the previous album, creator Itsuki Kamiya is in charge of arranging, track making and producing. The evolved sound skillfully incorporates the essence of pop, AOR, soul, rock and more, and the compatibility with Junk's emotional vocals is even more brilliant and powerful. The album includes the pop number "GOLDEN TIME," which was used as a Family Mart commercial song and became a hot topic; the lead single "Trajectory of Love," a killer tune that will brighten up the summer and will be released in advance on Wednesday, May 25th; the groove-filled "Love is a wonder"; "Our Summer Days," a ballad about end-of-summer love by Niizuma Yukako, who contributed "Butterfly" to the previous album; and 11 other songs (including bonus tracks), making this a summer album filled with city pop vibes. The jacket illustration was done by hikari&-, as with the previous album, and is a piece filled with light (SHINE) that captures a summer landscape. As a bonus track only on the CD, a special cover of Yamashita Tatsuro's "LOVE SPACE" from a live performance in January 2011 featuring Japan's leading drummer, Murakami "Ponta" Shuichi, who passed away in 2021, will be included.
