Saho Terao, a singer-songwriter who has pursued the form of "song" most sincerely in modern times, has completed her career masterpiece "Going North". 11 brilliances and their respective stories created together with musicians who continue to walk together in the "now".

Since her debut in 2007, singer-songwriter Saho Terao has been releasing numerous masterpieces and performing concerts, weaving the very essence of "song." Always at the forefront of her time, she has poured out her compassion for the people and things of the world, and her work has now earned her strong support from all generations, both young and old, and from countless listeners across borders. Alongside her earnest work as a musician touring the country with her beautiful voice, she is also active as a writer, with many books to her name. Her charming and dignified presence is surely bringing comfort and courage to many people right now.

In recent years, in addition to releasing his own compositions, he has expanded the field of his activities by discovering nursery rhymes and lullabies from around the country, arranging them in a pure way, and presenting them to the modern world, becoming an unparalleled "song catcher." In parallel with his solo activities, he also formed a trio band, "Fuyu ni Wakarete," with his close friends Reizaburo Adachi and Wataru Iga. He not only performs live, but also releases albums, and his creative fulfillment knows no bounds.

In the midst of all this, she has announced her first original solo album, "Kita e Muku," in about three years since her previous album, "Tayorimono no Tame ni," in 2017. This long-awaited work is a masterpiece that culminates Terao Saho's work to date, and it vividly presents the shape and direction of "song" in the 2020s.

The guest musicians are a diverse group of people who continue to walk the path of the present, and they pour brilliance and rich emotion into Saho Terao's elegant singing voice and piano playing. "Going North," written upon the passing of Terao's father, Jiro Terao, is accompanied by Kisel's rich arrangement and performance, and foreshadows the birth of a masterpiece that will shine brightly in her career. Also, "Kokoro no mama ni" and "Sekaku" have a warm and vivid groove, featuring the familiar pair Reizaburo Adachi and Wataru Iga. "Yakurai Iki" has created a new standard in singing and orchestration, with an arrangement by Shuta Hasunuma. "White Rainbow" and "Yu Magure" are colored by Mahito the People's emotional and delicate guitar. "Kioku" is accompanied by U-zhaan's melodic tabla. This definitive album is now complete, with every song on the album filled with the subtle seeds of something that "should be sung now."
