LEO SIDRAN "The Art Of Conversation" CD
★Supervision and commentary: Kanazawa Toshikazu (Light Mellow)
★1 bonus track included
The latest original album by LEO SIDRAN, a multi-instrumentalist, producer, singer-songwriter whose father is Ben Sidran. A masterpiece that is both authentic and contemporary, with a unique sense of style!
"This is LEO SIDRAN's seventh solo album, following the Michael Franks Songbook "COOL SCHOOL" released in 2018. Though he is the son of Ben Sidran, nicknamed Dr. Jazz, his style is closer to Michael than his father's. With the spirit of jazz at his core, he presents a smart, one-man band style that makes for a stylish sound. "Row On" is an English cover of "Al Otro Lado del Rio" by Jorge Drexler, an artist from Uruguay in South America. This song was co-produced by Jorge and Rio and was provided to the film "The Motorcycle Diaries," which won an Oscar in 2005. If you liked Norah Jones' debut album, this is a must-see." -- Kanazawa Toshikazu
LEO SIDRAN's latest album began as a songwriting project in early 2020. It then took on new meaning during the pandemic months, ultimately becoming a work that speaks to both the intimacy of social isolation and the collaborative possibilities of socially distanced recording.
