Yamamoto Seiichi "selfy" CD
Seiichi Yamamoto to release his first song album in five years in November!
Five years have passed since his second solo album, "Rhapsodia," released in 2011, which was a pioneer of "alternative AOR," and his previous album, "Wazauta," and now, after a short delay, Yamamoto Seiichi's new "song" album will be released in late autumn. While songs remain at the core of this album, it is also an exquisite blend of experimental sound images that are also characteristic of the "pleasing avant-garde" that was characteristic of Yamamoto's instrumental solo album, "CAFE BRAIN," released just this July.
In addition, in Yamamoto's solo works since Rashinban, he has basically played almost all the instruments himself except for the drums, but on this album he takes an unprecedented approach, with senoo ricky on drums, Nishitakita, IEGUTI, and Sakaguchi Mitsuo on keyboards/synths, and Satoshi Yoshioka producing the rhythm track for one song. The introduction of such active collaborations is a notable change in this album and adds to its appeal.
