TOTSUZEN DANBALL "Love Surfin'" CD
Totsuzen Danball, the undisputed treasure of Japanese rock, celebrated their 40th anniversary last year, and released their first new album in about four and a half years. masterpiece.
◆Since its formation in 1977, Totsuzen Danball is a miraculous band that has continued to play a sound that can only be described as rock, while straying from any rock context. In 2003, the band's leader, Eiichi Tsutaki, left the band for good. Since his death, Tsutaki Shunji has been leading the band's activities, and this is their first new album in about four and a half years since their previous album, "Super Sensitive," in 2014. After the release of the previous album, bassist Yoita Hisayasu ( (who was responsible for recording, mixing and mastering this work) left the band, and keyboardist and chorus member Yukiyukiro took over the bass part on the keyboard, unexpectedly creating a new sound. The music resonates pleasantly with a strange lightness. With lyrics filled with humor and wit and a guitar sound that no one else can imitate, the band's music is one of a kind and "serious yet fun" (c) Mayo Thompson.
