ERIKA DE CASIER "Essentials" CD

From Copenhagen, Denmark, this new generation band is described as Sade x Smerz, reminiscent of Tirzah and Kelela. They are at the forefront of electro-R&B, expressing the 90's mood with a modern sensibility.

In September 2019, they held a two-man concert with DAN at the Shibuya WWW anniversary concert.

◆A female artist with a wonderful whispering vocal, influenced by the 90's R&B and G-Funk of the past. Produced entirely by EL TRICK, also known as DJ CENTRAL, an important figure in the Copenhagen house collective Regelbau and with a release from Dekmantel, her addictive, delicate and minimal tracks further enhance her mysterious charm. Her debut album, ESSENTIALS, is released by INDEPENDENT JEEP MUSIC, a label run by Erica herself.

◆The music video for M2 "Do My Thing" was directed by Catharina Stoltenberg of the avant-electropop duo Smerz, who are also based in Copenhagen and whose release on XL recordings has been a hot topic. There is no doubt that she is one of the artists to watch as a representative of the new generation.
