London singer-songwriter Ara Ni, whose debut album "You & I ~Songs of the Four Seasons" ('16), which was colored with sepia-colored nostalgia that could be called "Billie Holiday in a dreamland," caused a big stir, has completed her shockingly evolved second album! With the exception of a few instruments such as strings and bass, most of the sounds are constructed only with her greatest weapon, "voice" overdubbing, human beatboxing, and body percussion. This is an amazing work that has an artistic and cutting-edge quality reminiscent of Bjork's "Medalla" ('04), while not losing any of its catchiness. It is a masterpiece that should be a "calling card" that condenses Ara Ni's extraordinary creativity and talent, from the relaxed and dreamy laid-back pop of her previous work to new territory that could be called alternative soul, and "aggressive" songs featuring Iggy Pop's poetry and Keith Stanfield's rap!
