9m88 "Beyond Mediocrity" CD

9m88, a female R&B singer who has performed with DAN, STUTS, and Tempalay in her native Taiwan and also appeared at Summer Sonic in 2019, has released her long-awaited Japanese debut album!

◆ Born in Taipei, she studied fashion at university before majoring in jazz at the prestigious "The School of Jazz & Contemporary Music" in New York. Her mellow, oriental and exotic R&B music is influenced by a variety of genres, including R&B, soul, jazz and pop. She has steadily gained popularity, especially among young people, with all venues on her tours in Taiwan selling out, and is said to be a talent who will lead the next generation of Taiwan's pop music/art scene.

◆In 2017, the 7-inch release of "九頭身日奈/PLASTIC LOVE" from the Taiwanese label 2manysound became a hot topic in Japan. In 2018, she performed in Japan at Aoyama Tsukimiru, and in 2019, she appeared on the Billboard Stage at Summer Sonic. In her home country of Taiwan, she has performed with Japanese artists such as AAAMYYY, DAN, STUTS, Tempalay, and TENDRE, sang chorus songs for works by Sunset Rollercoaster, and collaborated with rapper Leo Wang, who is signed to Taiwan's most famous hip-hop label, KAO!INC. Her nickname is "Barber."
