Space Ark, a racially mixed soul band formed in California, USA in 1973, released their second album in 1976, following their first album in 1975. As with the previous album, the acoustic soul sound of light cutting guitar, soft-touch piano and soft groove is still alive and well, but the sweet and sad vocals and increased volume of chorus work make the album even more melancholic and superb mellow groove! The impressive piano arpeggios, crying guitar and chorus in M2 "Take Her Out Dancing" are full of island taste, and M4 "Ja More Mon Amore (I Love My Love)" is a sticky intertwining of synths, guitar, percussion and chorus that transforms into a funky style in the second half, making this the definitive 70s acoustic "mellow" soul album!
