Judy Pollack + 33 1/3 "In Togetherness "Mr. DJ"" CD
★World's first CD release★With Japanese commentary★First press limited edition paper jacket
Return to the origins of rare groove! From the Groove Diggers, who have released a series of AOR crossover albums, a rare groove hit has finally been reissued! The only white female vocalist, "Judy Pollack", is surrounded by the OYA-G black chorus trio "33 1/3", and the mysterious jacket with the "MR DJ" label has been troubling collectors, and is it really 100% rare groove! Double Cider, the rarest ★★★ in Rare Groove A to Z, is finally available on CD for the first time in the world, with a mellow, groovy and funky sound when you drop the needle!
This 1977 work, familiar to rare groove collectors with its impressive artwork of a white female vocalist "Judy Pollack" wearing an orange dress and bare shoulders, surrounded by a greasy black trio chorus "33 1/3", is now available on CD for the first time in the world! Starting with the opening number M1 "MR.DJ", which starts with the lead sax intro and immediately brings a disco-like chorus to the head, M4 "Come With Me", which was also released as a single, features a sweet male chorus and Ms. Pollack's vocals intertwined in a rich way (Ms. Pollack's whispered breath (?) during the break is heavenly!), and the record label's mistakenly written "Mine" on the record label is a bit of a charm, but the epic song M7 "Your Mine" is over 8 minutes long, with a heavy rhythm section that even includes percussion, and guitar, keyboard and solo parts exploding in the second half, making it a great listen! The groovy and funky urban sound intertwines with the mysterious vocals and chorus, making this a rare, 100% mellow soul definitive album!
