Judy Roberts, a singer/pianist who has traveled around the world to jazz festivals such as the North Sea Jazz Festival and Chicago Jazz Festival, released the masterpiece "The Other World" in 1980 from the prestigious Inner City Records in New York. The album has a great balance of mellow, moody songs and speedy, danceable songs, such as "On A Clear Day," where Judy's melting vocals are intertwined with the moody sound centered on electric piano, "Last Tango In Paris," which is reminiscent of a dance scene in a 70s French movie as the title suggests, with Latin vocals sweetly seducing people, and "The Roadrunner," which makes you feel at its peak with four-on-the-floor drums and high-tension scat.
