This is the second album by Calvin Keys, the signature guitarist of Black Jazz Records.
This is a miraculous album that creates the ultimate blackness with a groove that is sometimes aggressive, sometimes mellow, and even more free. It's no wonder that Pat Metheny wrote a song called "Calvin's Keys"!

Calvin Keys is a jazz guitarist born in Omaha, Nebraska, who has also participated in the works of his Black Jazz Records labelmates such as Doug Kahn and Gene Russell. As can be seen from the fact that Grammy-winning musician Pat Metheny released a song called "Calvin's Keys," he is a highly regarded guitarist among musicians. His second album, "Proceed With Caution," released about three years after his debut album, "Shawn-Neeq," features a total of seven musicians and is a work with even more freedom. Calvin Keys' guitar prowess is on full display in six tracks, all with different styles, from the opening title track "Proceed with Caution," which features a never-ending stream of comfortable, complex guitar that is the epitome of Calvin Keys' work; track 3 "Efflugence," which combines a fast-paced rhythm, technical guitar, and a comfortable Brazilian feel; track 4 "Aunt Lovey," which has a bluesy composition that invites dancing; and the moody closing track "Night Cry," which is reminiscent of a jazz cafe!
