Letting Up Despite Great Faults "Reveries" CD

Letting Up Despite Great Fault, the Austin dream pop band that is popular in Japan and has performed five times in the country, has released their fifth album, "Reveries"!

Formed in LA and currently active in the music city of Austin, Texas, Letting Up Despite Great Faults will release their fifth original album, Reveries, on October 11th. Letting Up Despite Great Faults is a popular band that has successfully performed in Japan five times, with the invention of dropping the electronic synth sound perfected in their debut album into the genres of shoegaze and dream pop.

"Reveries" was mixed by Jay Som and mastered by Slowdive drummer Simon Scott. The third track, "Color Filter," features guest vocals from Meredith Ramond of Soft Blue Shimmer, a shoegaze band gaining attention in LA, making this a must-have album for indie pop and shoegaze listeners.

This album also makes use of Letting Up Despite Great Faults' originality of adding catchy melody lines to their characteristic electro + shoegaze / dream pop, but also includes songs that incorporate experimental rhythms, such as the opening song "Powder" and the sixth song "Past Romantic". Frontman Mike Lee, who has started listening to a variety of pop music from K-POP to Hyper Pop, has added a pop sense of various genres to the indie pop of Letting Up Despite Great Faults, and these songs also have a strong presence on the album.

The second track, "Dress," is a feel-good tune that fully captures the band's indie pop roots, and the seventh track, "Collapsing," has a great sense of chords and melody that fans of 90s indie pop and guitar pop will love.

The single "Swirl" is recommended for fans of 2010's Captured Tracks, and the two tracks included on the Japanese CD version are unmistakably Letting Up Despite Great Faults-esque!
