It is said to be a groundbreaking work that consciously incorporated sampling techniques into recordings, making full use of tape collage. The combination of seemingly contradictory elements, such as minimal loops made from recordings of Renaissance choral music and field recordings of Vietnamese folk songs picked up from shortwave radio, or electronics and the Japanese koto, creates unexpected harmony/disharmony, filling the air with an otherworldly ambience. There is also an anecdote that during the production, he sneaked into the electronic music studio in Cologne, the stronghold of his former teacher Stockhausen, to change the tape speed, and finished the work in a short time.
