Former Sakura Gakuin member Hidaka Marin appears as the third installment of the music project "Mágico" featuring young actresses! She covers Happy End's "12月の雨の日"!

"Mágico" is an ongoing music project that features young, talented actresses. Mágico means "magic" in Portuguese, and the project aims to capture magical moments of young actresses that can only be captured now through music (songs) and introduce them each season.

Following on from the first installment of the project, the summer (Verano) edition, featuring Arisa Nakano, the second and autumn (Outono) editions, featuring Ruka Ishikawa, the third installment, the winter (Inverno) edition, will feature Marin Hidaka, a self-proclaimed music lover whose hobby is singing and playing the guitar. In honor of Hidaka's December birth, the album features a cover of the classic "12月の雨の日" from Happy End's first album released in 1970. The song will be released as a 7-inch single.

Hidaka's dignified singing voice, which is also featured in the scene where he plays guitar in a band in his starring film "Maki's World," is directed by Seiichi Yamamoto, a musician who has long been active at the forefront of Japan's alternative scene as one of the foremost avant-pop artists and who is the producer of all the works in this project. Hidaka's pure and honest singing voice rides on the sound that Yamamoto copied with all his heart, full of respect for Happy End, breathing new life into the song.

Hidaka is also a big fan of Western music. The B-side includes a cover of Cyndi Lauper's classic "True Colors," which she has always loved. She shows off her beautiful, emotional singing voice.

Also noteworthy is the artwork, which uses photographs of Hidaka taken by photographer Kumagai Naoko, who, like Yamamoto, is in charge of the visuals for all the works in this project and has also worked on photobooks of famous actresses.
