It has been decided that a 7-inch single will be released featuring Ruka's third single "Karada ga shibireru Atama ga yorokobu" with lyrics by Shintaro Sakamoto and music and production by Seiichi Yamamoto, coupled with a remix of the same song by Meitei, an artist garnering attention in the global electronic/ambient scene!

While working as a model, Ruka made her debut as a singer in 2021 with a cover of Yura Yura Teikoku's "Kuudoudesu". Following "Tooi Koe" (2021), which was written by Masatoshi Mashima, she released her third single "Karada ga shibireru Atama ga yorokobu" in October 2023. Written by two leading figures in the Japanese alternative scene, Shintaro Sakamoto and Seiichi Yamamoto, the song is catchy and danceable, yet psychedelic, and the profound and mysterious world of lyrics are exquisitely intertwined, bringing out Ruka's new charm. The Japanese version will be coupled with a remix of the song by Meitei, a Hiroshima-based artist who expresses the scenery of a former Japan through original music that combines electronic, ambient, hip-hop, and experimental elements, and released as a 7-inch single. The remix of Meitei, which has a twisted, floating feeling similar to Holger Czukay's "Persian Love," amplifies the rich, poetic world and is sure to make your head happy. As with the 12-inch, the artwork uses a newly taken photograph by Sawatari Hajime, a master who has been presenting works at the forefront of art since the 1960s. The Meitei remix will also be released in advance on April 3rd.
