The lo-fi hip-hop production team Grey October Sound, who have made a name for themselves in Japan and abroad with the release of their Ghibli cover 'Lo-Fi Ghibli' and city-pop cover 'Lo-Fi City Pop', have released a compilation album of their music, 'Timeless Lo-Fi' on cassette!
The group has gained attention with the release of quality lo-fi hip-hop compilations such as Timeless and The Cave, and has also released Lo-Fi Ghibli, a collection of covers of classic Ghibli films, and Lo-Fi City Pop, a collection of covers of classic/popular city pop songs. Grey October Sound is a production team whose name has spread not only in Japan but also abroad.
The lo-fi hip-hop compilation album TIMELESS vol. 1, which Grey October Sound released in 2020 as a digital-only release, has been re-titled Timeless Lo-fi with added bonus tracks and is now available in analogue format, followed by a cassette release! All are high-quality original lo-fi hip-hop tracks, and fans who got to know them through 'Lo-fi Ghibli' and 'Lo-fi City Pop' will be in for a treat.
◆ The jacket uses the same impressive artwork from TIMELESS vol. 1, which was created by illustrator Narume, who is known for his work based on PC98 dot expressions, and is sure to become a talking point along with the music!
