Downt, a band that continues to expand across genre boundaries with a presence that no longer needs categorisation, is finally set to release its first full-length album in 2024! Through energetic live performances and collaborations with overseas artists, the band's world-standard band sound is now here, further deepening and updating the new innovations shown in their epic work '13月'!

Since its formation in 2021, downt has been active mainly in the Tokyo live scene, and has quickly become a hot presence in the emo and alternative live house scene, releasing "SAKANA e.p." and appearing at the "FUJI ROCK FESTIVAL '22", "ROOKIE A GO-GO", and the worldwide release of the compilation record "Anthology" from UK label Dog Knights (which sold out immediately). The band also performed at major circuits such as SYNCHRONICITY and MINAMI WHEEL, and collaborated with many international artists such as Gestalt Girl (Taiwan), Grrrl Gang (Indonesia), Pswingset (US), deathcrash (UK) and many others. The year 2023 saw the release of the epic "13月", which showed a new direction for the band, and a further expansion of their activities. Their long-awaited full album, which has been steadily raising the stage with the years, will finally be released in March 2024.

The new album includes the epic single "13月", which is over eight minutes long and gives a sense of new innovation and certainty as a band with fragility and unshakable power, as well as new songs that show the band's new stage as it heads towards the end of its career. The album will also include newly recorded songs from their first album "downt", such as "111511", "mizu ni naru" and "AM4:50", which have already been standard live favourites. With their long-awaited full-length album, the band's first, they are set to hit the music scene in Japan and around the world!

Formed in 2021. Made up of Yui Togashi [Gt&Vo], Takaaki Kawai [Ba] and Tener Ken Robet [Dr]. Based in Tokyo. The world view expressed by the delicate and bold performance with a sense of urgency, the excellent melodic sense and emotional words, and the gentle and fresh wind-like and sometimes sharp and passionate voice, is beginning to expand beyond the boundaries of genres in an open and airy way. In October of the same year, they released their first album 'downt' (CD & CT both sold out) from ungulates, which instantly became a hot topic at record shops and distros including FLAKE RECORDS and HOLIDAY!

Released new EP 'SAKANA e.p.' on 22 June, 2022, and held a release tour from 21 July, with all shows SOLD OUT; released 1st and EP compilation record 'Anthology' on 22 July (sold out immediately). In the summer of 2022, they will appear on stage at "FUJI ROCK FESTIVAL '22" and "ROOKIE A GO-GO" as the first outdoor festival, as well as at other outdoor festivals in various locations, and will perform in front of a large number of first-time audiences with live performances that strongly impress each venue. In January 2023, they started their own project 'Waste The Momonts'. The first event was performed by Shimokitazawa SHELTER "Asu No Jokei" on 15 January (Sun), and the second event was performed by "Subway Daydream" on 25 March (Sat). And on 7 June they released their first new work of the year, "III", including the 8.5-minute epic "13月", which is a new innovation for the band, and the third independent project was held on 10 June (Sat) at Shimokitazawa SHELTER with DENIMS, and all three performances tickets were SOLD OUT.

Since spring, they have appeared at various circuits and outdoor festivals such as IMAIKE GO NOW, SYNCHRONICITY and hoshioto, as well as summer festivals such as YATSUI FESTIVAL, GFB'23 Tsukuba Rock Festival and Shinsekai Festival. They also held a short tour in Nagoya, Shizuoka and Tokyo, and performed at MINAMI WHEEL for the first time this autumn. They have also performed with Pswingset (US), Football, etc. (US), soft pine (Thailand), Gestalt Girl (Taiwan), Grrrl Gang (Indonesia), deathcrash (UK), motifs (Singapore) and other overseas artists. In 2024, they are planning to perform at two venues in Shinjuku Marble & Marz, and at Shinsaibashi Pangea on 16 January, as well as at IMAIKE GO NOW in Nagoya, SYNCHRONICITY in Shibuya and other circuit festivals.
