Celebrating the 15th anniversary of Blues Power, the only radio show in Japan dedicated to the blues and hosted by Takashi "Hotoke" Nagai! Following two compilations supervised by Nagai, the man himself finally makes an appearance! A 10" EP, his first solo release in a long time!
One of Japan's leading bluesmen, Takashi "Hotke" Nagai, has been at the forefront of blues music since his debut with the West Road Blues Band in the 1970s, right up to the present day Blues the Butcher. His programme "Blues Power" on Aomori FM Apple Wave, where he has been a personality since October 2007, is now celebrating its 15th anniversary! Two compilation albums selected, supervised and DJ'd by Takashi Nagai have been released to commemorate the 7th and 10th anniversaries so far, but now he has finally released his own work! This is his first solo release in 26 years, since his 1996 album Fool's Paradise. The EP features slow guitar-played covers of classic songs by Muddy Waters, Sam Cooke, Slim Harpo and other artists whom Hotchkiss admires and respects! The depth of her voice, backed up by her long career, is irresistible. Includes a download code for those who don't have a record player! For all HOTOKE fans all over Japan, here you go!
