FRICTION '79 Live' CD
Four months before "Friction," those three were running at full speed.
"79 Live" captures Friction's live performance at Takutaku in Kyoto in December 1979, four months before the release of their masterpiece debut album "Atsureki," a shining example in the history of Japanese punk. This live performance, often cited as Friction's best, was originally released in 1980 as a privately produced 10-inch LP, accessible only to a select few fans. Reissued in 2005 as a CD+DVD using newly discovered tapes, this legendary live performance, which Reck himself called a "miraculous performance," is now available as a CD-only reissue. The performance, recorded just months before the release of "Atsureki," showcases Friction's incredibly high-tension playing as they reached their peak. Reck's vocals, in particular, are tremendously powerful throughout. Includes "Pistol" and "Kagayaki," tracks not included on "Atsureki." One of the essential works when discussing Friction.
