SLOW BASE “Dancing In The Sun” LP

This is the first album from "SLOWBASE," a solo project by singer-songwriter Shohei Fujimori, who plays a male-female acoustic duo that blends the feel of traditional folk and blue-eyed soul with a surf-side flavor!

This is calm and peaceful good music written with local friends active in a wide range of scenes, including Teramae Sakie, Hirayama Ren (StoneChild), Kaiki Ohara (Suchmos), Uematsu Shoichi, and Kurita Yusuke (Hedigan's, The fin)!

This is the first album by singer-songwriter Shohei Fujimori, also known as SLOW BASE, written with friends from his hometown of Shonan, featuring slide guitar from Ren Hirayama (StoneChild), groovy bass from professional DJ Kaiki Ohara (Suchmos), tight percussion from Shoichi Uematsu, heavy piano from Yusuke Kurita (Hedigan's, The fin), and background vocals from Sakie Teramae, who has been performing as a male-female duo since the band's formation. And for the full band live performances, Terunuma Kosei from southern Germany, a band currently garnering attention as a Krautrock band, also participates!

SLOW BASE is the solo project of singer-songwriter Shohei Fujimori, formed in 2018 and has released one EP and five singles digitally to date, before embarking on full-scale live performances in 2023 after the COVID-19 pandemic. Based in Enoshima, he has collaborated with artists who share a similar sensibility, such as maya ongaku, HAPPY, and Hedigan's, and has also performed irregularly with a band set modeled on the relationship between songwriters and bands, such as Neil Young and Crazy Horse, at venues around Tokyo, including Aoyama Tsukimiru Kimi Omofu.

This album was inspired by the concept of creating an album that contains songs that DJs in the club scene would want to play at the end of the night, and Kaiki Ohara (Suchmos), who has been with the band since its inception, is in charge of bass, production, and direction for all the tracks, resulting in a total of 8 tracks, including a cover of Maki Asakawa. The artwork, which features a silhouette projected onto golden fabric dyed with dyes extracted from actual plants, was created by Katase Enoshima culture shop "ACE GENERAL STORE" and Shoki Ogawa, the echo of Kusakizome-san.
