This album was recorded in 1969 for West German Vogue, featuring Sahib Shihab as the sole front-liner with a quintet comprised of five key members of the Clarke-Boland Big Band: Francy Boland, Jimmy Woode, Kenny Clarke, and Fats Sadi. It’s an album that showcases a complete form of European jazz, only achievable with this lineup, presenting incredibly stylish and sophisticated tracks throughout. Highlights include the quintessential Latin jazz gem "Seeds," the waltz number "Peter's Waltz" said to be dedicated to his son, and the modal "Mauve."
