Singer-songwriter Towa Mafune, whose soft voice and soothing melodies gently envelop your heart, is set to release her latest album! As the title "Umi Wo Daite Nemuru" suggests, this concept album is inspired by her own experiences growing up near the sea and always feeling close to nature, and by her dialogue with nature itself, such as the sea, wind, and light, and the things that exist in between. From the piano used in the introduction to strings, horns, acoustic and gut guitars, and vocal ensemble, layers upon layers create a free-spirited sound production that feels as if everything inside has been unleashed!

This new work marks a departure from the norm, featuring reliable musicians and engineers such as paya (Yutai Communications), Kota Yamauchi, and Keitaro Kanemine for support, and Yui Kimijima (Tsubame Studio) for mixing and mastering.

The lead single "Umi no Nioi" (Scent of the Sea), which is being released today, is a song that expresses the feeling of the "sea," a place that is very important to the artist, by layering soft vocals that gently embrace the listener with strings, piano, and other elements!
