xiexie “zzz” LP

The band that has been garnering attention both domestically and internationally, xiexie, has resonated with overseas indie sounds and has continued to produce a unique, catchy and comfortable sound that freely crosses over indie pop, psychedelic pop, dream pop, alternative and more. Their new album "zzz" has been released!

Produced after a tour of China and other experiences, "zzz" represents both the band's current state and new horizons. The title, "zzz," a reference to the universally accepted symbol of sleep, was chosen with the hope that listeners would experience "a journey through the unconscious." xiexie's psychedelic sound truly transports listeners to a dreamlike state. "Alien III," a popular series in xiexie's discography, features a psychedelic yet soothing guitar sound intertwined with Meari's clear, gently flowing vocals, creating a sound that lies somewhere between loneliness and tenderness. Other tracks include the band's signature indie-pop tracks like "sleeping in my car" and "homeland," as well as the exotic riffs of "ocean." "the day" showcases a new side of xiexie, featuring a ballad-style track featuring Meari's vocals and Taiwanese violinist Yin-An Hsu's delicate timbre.

Their debut album "wellwell," released last year, was featured in both domestic and international media, and was selected by the regular DJs of Seattle radio station KEXP as one of the "KEXP DJs Top Albums of 2024." Furthermore, the band successfully completed their first-ever Asian tour, which included stops in China and Hong Kong. Building on this experience, they have completed "zzz," a work that combines the band's current position with new horizons.
