■Our Shonen Knife will release their latest album "OUR BEST PLACE" on February 15, 2023. Their first release, a self-produced cassette tape from 1982, is legendary among their fans. It is rumored that only 89 copies were made (50 by the band itself and 39 by the label), making this extremely rare item available for the first time on LP.

■In addition to early versions of songs that would later appear on the first to third albums, such as "Burning Farm," "Banana Leaf," and "Summertime Boogie," this truly treasure trove also includes songs that can only be heard on this work.

■After this, their first album "Burning Farm" was released on Zero Records in 1983, and was released on cassette by K Records, run by Calvin Johnson, a leading figure in the US indie scene (1985). Kurt Cobain, who probably got his hands on it, fell in love with it and selected Shonen Knife as the opening act for Nirvana's UK tour, and they went on to become a global presence.
