100% Pure Poison!! The long-awaited killer album featuring "Windy C", the ultimate jazzy funk with rare grooves, the only work by the legendary 9-piece big band 100% PURE POISON with its soulful and funky grooves. Reissue!!
100% PURE POISON is a legendary group with a total of 9 artists, led by guitarist Danny Leake, who was active in the Chicago soul scene in the 60s and 70s, and released only one album. Their one and only album "Coming Right At You" was released in 1974 only in the UK, but it received worldwide acclaim as part of the rare groove movement of the 80's, earning collectors from all over the world. One piece that continues to be evaluated in. "You Keep Coming Back", which decorates the opening, is a song centered on refreshing vocals with a soul taste that seems to grow endlessly, and the performance of the horn corps in the background is wonderful, and above all, the hand at the end. Clap makes everyone happy, a song that signals the beginning of the party. In the following "No More City, No More Country", a funky guitar riff invites dance, and the flow from the female chorus to the trumpet solo in the middle of the song is irresistible. "Windy C", recorded as the first song on the B side of the record, is the highlight of this work, and it is a dramatic piece that intertwines Danny Leake's intense guitar and Steve Maxwell's comfortable organ with vocals that sound like words. It is a song with an irresistible development, and it is a song that will reach a wide range of rock fans other than soul and funk. Throughout the album, it is a well-balanced collection of soulful and comfortable songs to upper and funk dance songs!
