Arthur "Big Boy" Crudup, the originator of Elvis Presley's debut song "That's All Right" and a bluesman whom Elvis revered as "The Real Lowdown Mississippi Singer".

Southern spirit in full swing! A fire disc recorded in New York in 1962, produced by Bobby Robbinsen of Crudup, who created a blues storm with his singing and guitar. In addition to the title track, the album mainly features reprises of past classics such as 'That's All Right', 'So Glad You're Mine' (also covered by Elvis) and 'Katie Mae', and while Crudup's trademark high-pitched voice is still there, each song has a different austerity from the original. This is a masterpiece that allows the listener to fully appreciate the 57-year-old Crudup at the height of his maturity. The original LP is quite rare and has been reissued in its original artwork and reverse pasting jacket!
