This is one of West Coast funky drummer Les Demar's most prolific releases of the 1970s.
A 1977 studio album on the connoisseur-friendly Dobre label. The introductory drum break to 'Moondial' is a classic, sampled by Jurassic 5's 'Lesson 1', De La Soul's 'Stone Age', DJ Shadow, Greyboy and many others. The album is also full of groovy numbers such as 'Canned Heat Suite', 'Kaballa' and other jazz-funk tracks, and the bewitching Afro-latin funk of 'Bacchanal', a piece of funky fusion.
