The origin of Japanese group sounds is here! Carefully selected from singles and LPs in search of beats and grooves from Japanese pop music of the 60s and 70s. It's GS, solo GS, beat/R&B pop, and groovy instrumentals.
Putting aside the playful typo of "Akari Eiko," the song selection is a tasteful yet grotesque underground compilation.

The combination of The Characters, Akari Eiko, and Suzuki Kunihiko, as well as the inclusion of Ima Yoko's "Escape" instead of Pinky's "Good-Bye," seems deliberate.

Another point to note is that the jacket design imitates the instrumental works of the time.
