Cock c'Nell is a new wave band from Kanazawa led by former Mentanpin member Yoichiro Ikeda and vocalist Setsuko Nogata. Their first album, released in 1986 by Balcony Records, is being reissued on vinyl for the first time!

Featuring a number of songs with beautiful, floating vocals from Nogata Setsuko, including the masterpiece "Yoru no Uta," which exudes a particularly powerful presence, it is no exaggeration to say that this album is a masterpiece of the Japanese underground.

Maher Shalal Hash Baz's Tori Kudo, Akihiro Ishiwata, Takeharu Hayakawa and others are participating, and Kudo's piano with its unique sense of time is also great! The sound-making of engineer Minoru Inakuma, who is credited as a co-producer with Ikeda, also creates a unique worldview.

When the CD was reissued in 2002, the track order was rearranged and a different jacket design was adopted, but this reissue has the same track order as the original, and a gorgeous, cool jacket with silver topping that recreates the original design by Yagi Yasuo!
